The Big Dig
The Big Dig
Oven construction began with the hand digging of the foundation. The hole was dug to a depth of 3 feet (later found out 18" would have been fine). The hole was later backfilled with 18" of gravel by the cement contractor. A rebar cage was inserted in the hole.
